Hello Everyone! How has your week been? Mine has been going well. I wanted to share with you a project we did this weekend. We love to play board games….we love to play games…plain and simple. Ha! Yahtzee! is our favorite and we have been talking about making a baggo, or corn hole, game for a long time. But, for whatever reason we haven’t gotten around to it.
Sunday morning as we were discussing our plans for the day I flipped over to Pinterest to pull up the directions for the baggo game directions. While I was looking around I found plans for Yahtzee! in your yard!!! What??? First of all why haven’t I thought of that? Second, What????? I know!! I know!!
We already had everything we needed so both projects cost us only our time. And we were together…which is our prerequisite for everything. The Yahtzee! dice were cut from a 4 inch post, sanded, stained and dots painted all within just a few hours.
You can see the size of the blocks beside my sandals. They aren’t monstrous. HAHA!
I got the tutorial from Lemon Thistle. So many cute ideas there. (side note: I can’t put a link here for it. I’m not sure what that is about) The dice were cut every 3 1/2 inches since a 4 inch post isn’t really 4 inches. Once they were cut I sanded, stained and painted on the die dots. That’s it! So simple.
Next was the baggo/corn hole game. I got the tutorial and directions here. This one is just as simple it only takes a little more time.
I am so excited to add these games to our back yard fun. If you give these a try let me know.
Be you. Be beautiful. Be imperfect.
