How has your Sunday been? Are you ready for your week? I think I am. It’s Sunday, the day I look at something I’m thankful for….my joyful surroundings.
This week my joyful surroundings are centered around respite. A respite is a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant. Recently I have been writing about peace and then soon I was focused on respite and what a truly beautiful gift it is.
It is an unplug moment. It isn’t denial or procrastination. I know it will all still be there when I plug back in. The circumstances will still loom. Bills will still be due and loved ones will still be hurting. Yet, if only for self preservation there is respite.
It’s pausing the movie for a snack and ending up with chocolate covered strawberries.
Or it’s after focusing on cleaning or housework, pausing, mixing an Indian clay mask and enjoying a cup of coffee……
(This clay mask is amazing. I get it at Ozark Natural Foods)
Remember it will all still be there. But right now…try it…say it….respite…a short period of rest or relief…now do it.
I hope your week offers everything you need. Let me know how things are going.
Be you. Be beautiful. Be imperfect.
